As a school counselor, my role is to support all students in developing their personal/social-emotional, academic and career potential to become effective learners and contributing citizens in a global society. My goal is help students acquire the knowledge, skills and attitude to achieve success. I do this by consulting and collaborating with students, parents, teachers, and staff to support our students’ development through classroom guidance and character lessons, small group counseling and individual support as necessary, academic intervention and referral services, and community referrals. I provide services not only to students in need, but to all students.
I will regularly interact with students who are attending school in-person. In addition to daily interactions, I will schedule classroom guidance time with enrichment teachers and will continue with small group and individual support as necessary. I will have a school counseling Google Classroom with information and activities for virtual students. I will post activities there weekly. Over the next few days, I will work to invite all Lore students to my Google Classroom.
This is a very interesting time, to say the least. We are all working together to keep students and staff healthy and safe. Many of our emotions are all over the place. Please know that I am here to support you as best as I can! Please feel free to email me at [email protected], or call me at 609-538-9800, ext. 6110, if you have any questions or concerns!
